Chapters 1 & 2

The main character, Chappie, is an independent 14 year old who smokes a lot of skunk and also deals it at the same time. He is not school smart, and enjoys skipping classt to hang out with his buddy Russ. He will do anything to get more weed so he decides to steal coins in his mother's closet who he believes is his stepfather's, but it actually is his mother's. His Christmas Fantasy of him coming back home, bring a sack of presents for his mother and stepfather was very sweet and touching. it reveeals to us that he loves his mother, or his mother at least, and that he misses them a lot. This fantasy reveals to us that he prefers his old life compared to his new one with Russ, and that he wishes to return home.
